We had a very limited budget for our wedding, which we were okay with. I mean, sure, everyone wants to be able to do everything their heart desires for a wedding, but at the same time, we didn't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a 30 minute ceremony - we'd like to save for a house instead! (Plus, we didn't have tens of thousands of dollars!) So, we went with simple and small.
Pink and black are pretty fabulous, so those are the colors I chose.
Here were some of our centerpieces:
And here is a farther away view:
On some of the tables we did roses and on some we did these pink/white berry things and then on the other half we did photos of Mark and I:
We also had programs on the tables, and we had song lyric sheets. We had everyone seated at tables during the wedding, and then had the reception at the same place. That way, as soon as the wedding was over, everyone just went through the food line, and sat back down. And everyone seemed to feel really comfortable - people walked around before the wedding and chatted, and during the wedding it wasn't tense at all. I loved it that way.
The songs the congregation sang with us during the wedding were "For the Beauty of the Earth" and "All Creatures of Our God and King". We loved that part a lot. The verse on the programs we love as well "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins," I Peter 4:8.
And here's where people signed in - that's my beautiful sister signing in:
We also had little cameras so people could take photos:
And then here's a picture of the place so you can see the tables as people are starting to arrive...
Okay my computer battery has three minutes left so that's all on the decor section! Others to come in the future. I hope you enjoyed seeing the photos!
